Hello all. I am in remission from TNBC and finished radiotherapy six months ago. After it, I had no side effects at all, absolutely nothing! I have got it into my head that this might mean that the treatment was not effective. I would feel so much better if other people have had this same experience and would be so grateful to hear from you. Thank you
Most side effects are sun burn - depends how sensitive your skin is and fatigue but again that can depend on how much you try to push yourself. Many women sail through. I found it very manageable even though I had skin on skin burn underneath- the curse of the G cup and fatigue hit me but I've lived since a child on a handful of hours sleep at night . I'm just a lousy sleeper ! We all have the what iff, worry gremlins. Xx
Thank you both for replying. Yes it does help and has really put my mind at rest. All the best xxxxx
Hi
Everyone reacts differently…. I’ve treated thousands of people with radiotherapy over the last 35 years and can assure you that reactions have nothing to do with effectiveness.
A lot depends on your skin type and the area being treated.
wishing you all the best going forwards x
