A month after mastectomy I went back to see surgeon for my check up. Whilst on the bed I said to him “I’m a bit concerned about these hard lumps where the breast was…” He replied “They’re your ribs…”! Embarrassed or wot!!
I saved myself from embarrassing visit to GP thanks to Google . Paranoid every lump, bump is cancer I tried to put a earring in but a big black hard lump on pierced hole prevented it. As you do I worried about it for a week, before eventually googling. Google told me it could essentially be a big black head - built up of soap, shampoo, dead skin, hair dye etc. So I sat for 10min with my ear lobe in egg cup of very hot water then used my nail to give a little nudge and out it came ! In 47 years of having my ears pierced I'd never had this before but apparently quite common with piercings!
