HER2 Results

Hi Aly,

Sorry to hear you've been waiting so long. I'm also waiting for my HER2 results, but it's only been 3 days for me since my diagnosis. My consultant said he'd give me a call with the results 'in a few days', but haven't heard anything yet. The waiting is awful, not knowing whether it's going to be chemo or surgery first (although my consultant said it's likely to be chemo first for me).

I hope you hear soon, have you given them a call to chase?

A couple of weeks wait is not unusual for HER2 result. No harm in calling your BC nurse to ask when you can expect your result. The waiting is hard for all of us. Try to keep busy and do normal things that you enjoy..

Ditto. 2 week wait is normal, BCN can sometimes provide an earlier update, prior to meeting with Consultant. Might have some results, but not all. 

Hi I also had to wait for the Her2 results and yes the 2 week wait is about right , one of the cancer nurses phoned me with the results and the wait for that call was unbearable because again its the unknown . Hope yoy hear soon good luck with everything.
