HI all.
I'm on my 3rd cycle of paclitaxil and carboplatin ( I'm having weekly treatment) For the first couple of weeks I was fine then it went downhill from there. :-(
After having the Carboplatin session ( every) 3rd week. I had severe sickness and lack of energy. The sickness is hopefully being controlled but the energy levels are NON EXISTENT !!
I've been told I'll get good and bad days...My question is … When do i get a good day ??? I literally manage to do something for 30 - 45mins MAX. Then I'm wiped out !!!!!!

Hi, so sorry to hear the chemo is effecting you like this. Are you able to get out a little to walk? It always seems contrary to me, but a walk often gives energy rather than taking it. I guess you’ve spoken to your BCN to see what they suggest. Sorry, not sure what else to suggest but I am sure there will be others on here with some ideas too.
Hi Carol
I did docetaxel so don't know carbonation bit what I can tell you os that it is cumulative and unfortunately you will feel weaker for longer in each cycle. At the end I had probably about only 3 good days before the next round. It is really important that you speak to your oncologist about it. They can change dosage etc.
Sorry I can't be of more help but what I can tell you is that it will pass and you will get through it
Wendy
Thank you. Because of the NIL strength I tend to hold onto things as I keep thinking I'm going to fall over. So walking is a bit awkward.
