Hi

I was diagnosed on 11th November following my 3rd routine mammogram with an 8mm IDC breast cancer. Not palpable and Grade 2. Had my WLE on 7th Dec and got clear margins and clear lymph nodes. Completed my 5 sessions of RT on 8th Feb which was OK and today have had my end of treatment review so am now on patient led follow up and annual mammogram in December.

Cannot believe how quick the last few months have gone and very mindful that my treatment has been more straightforward than many ladies on this forum. 3 months into 5yrs of Anastrazole

I wanted to say thank you to everyone. The support, tips and advice on this forum is amazing and I have learnt so much. Back at work and resuming life post BC but definitely changed by the experience ..hopefully for the better with a renewed sense of appreciation for the positive things in life

Xx

  • Thanks for the update! I think posts such as yours are important not only so we know about each other's outcomes and major "landmarks," but also because it reminds those of us who are still going through it that for most of us, treatment is indeed a finite period, and we too will get to the point you are at now. All the very best for the future! Slight smile

  • Thank you Blush  All feels a bit weird to be honest ! X

  • Brilliant news!! I’m so delighted for you. It’s brilliant you’re on your home leg, I hope the anastrazole is good for you. Onwards and upwards now. All the best to you, thanks for coming on and telling us your good and back out there, we worry when people just disappear, lots of love xxx

  • Hurray….well done for getting to the end point.

Take care of yourself …..wishing you all the best going forwards x

  • Good to hear your story, I feel my BC has made me see things in a different light. You appreciate the little things, starting chemo EC on 16th, nervous but comforting to hear so many of you have got through this very hard time,
