Hello I haven’t been here for a while.  I had my first Zometa last Monday and it’s really knocked me out.  Has anyone else suffered the same?

  • Hi Jgau, I had some fluey type symptoms and a few joint aches after my first Zometa infusion but these cleared up after a couple of days, and I just took some paracetamol. I had my second infusion last month and was fine afterwards, with no side effects. As with any medication though side effects will vary from person to person but I hope that you don't feel too rough after your next infusion.

  • Hi Jgau

I am today considering taking Zometa and will see Doc in person in 3 weeks.

so you feel washed out for a week or more? Do let me know if that changes! I’m gonna have to make some day to day changes if tiredness continues….

  • Hi Thank you for your reply.  Guess I’ve been unlucky with this one.  Hope it subsided soon.

  • Hi,  I couldn’t go to one of my classes and I did get flu like symptoms and tiredness which has lasted a week.  Been out walking today tho.

  • Hi, I was wiped out for about 12 hours with flu symptoms, then fine.

  • Thanks Jgau. I’m seeing onc at end of March and will go for ZA. I’ll let you know how I get on after my first infusion.

infusions for everyone is so different, I think I’ll be offered 1 every month for 3, then every 3 months, not sure if it goes to every 6 months?

    when is your next infusion?
