Good morning
how do I know how much swelling is a problem. I’ve had 2 lots of surgery in the last 2 months. First was a lumpectomy and node biopsy and then 10 days ago they went back in and cleared more from my boob and a full node clearance.
Friday night it all started to swell, now it’s swollen from the centre of my chest up to and round my shoulder/back and down my arm to my elbow. Is this normal or should I be worried?
Thanks for taking the time to read x
Sorry for the late reply. It’s been a nightmare couple of days.
I spent 9hrs in A&E on Sunday and they basically sent me home with antibiotics and said I’d need an ultrasound and drain in the week.
I called the breast team first thing Monday morning and they booked me in today. They drain some of the fluid from under my arm and the pain has really eased. They said it might swell again but it’s good for now x
