Hi. I have had two of three docetaxel sessions.
A week after treatment my face is really sore, red and hot all over. I assume it's because my skin is more sensitive due the medication and has reacted to either face cream or make up. Obviously had stopped using bith. I did have sore hands and peeling of skin on hands after the first one but that's cleared up now.
I've tried piriton and putting on Aveeno baby cream regularly but no better . Has anyone else had skin problems of docetaxel.
Thanks xx
Hi I have had 2 cycles of Docetaxel as part of TCPH, I had a rash under my good boob not sure if it was the Docetaxel or the Phesgo (Herceptin & Pertuzumab). I used Daktacort cream which helped. I would ask your chemo unit what to use on your face. But I highly recommend this for dry skin they do an oncology pack which is brilliant for dry skin. https://udderlysmooth.co.uk/product/oncology-care-package/
Hope helps X
I had one dose of docetaxel my face was on fire and the skin peeled off my hands and feet felt like they were burning. Oncologist advice was udder creme! What they use on cows! I didn’t find it helped in any way. 7 weeks after chemo has finished and my nails are now falling off. The joy of chemo
Blimey.. never heard of udder cream
I agree I'll be glad when it's over
Xx
