Hi, looking for advice
should I go for chemo after eating, or is it better on an empty stomach?
thank you
x
I did both. When it was in the afternoon I kept my lunch light, just a sandwich. I found it helped to drink lots of fluid before, during and after the chemo. I think it helped to flush the drugs out of my system. I was advised to take the anti-nausea drugs even if I did not have any feelings of nausea. That helped a lot. Good luck with your treatment and I hope that everything will go well for you. Take care.
Drinking lots of water is the key . Also taking anti sickness even if not nauseous, it’s much harder to get on top of feeling sick if not taken regularly. I avoided eating much before the treatment , just something light , When do you start your treatment? Xxx
Thank you for your advice. PICC goes in Tuesday this week, and first treatment on Thursday.
it will be good to ge5 the first treatment out of the way and start the 21 week countdown.
xx
