I’m starting radiotherapy treatment for my breast cancer next week and was wondering how bad you feel in terms of tiredness/fatigue after the course of treatment, which, for me, is over 5 days?
Hello Lol, I had radiotherapy in 2013 after a lumpectomy, mine was over 15 days. I was very lucky, I had a good experience. I genuinely had no serious fatigue at all, albeit it is tiring getting to and being at the hospital daily. By the end of the treatment I was tired but not excessively so. I did get some scabbing right at the end of the radiotherapy and some heat in the skin of the breast but again nothing excessive. I am small breasted though and anecdotally I think smaller breasted women tend to get less sore from what I’ve read on here. Make sure you moisturise almost to excess. All the best of luck x
hello. Have a read of the radiotherapy thread which may help you:
I was tired but I had 15 sessions and drove myself and waiting times could be up to 2 hours after appointment time. I found the prep and lining up just a little boring but the session itself doesn't take long. Make sure you are well hydrated and moisturise well after treatment. good luck x
