Can anyone recommend a shampoo ,conditioner treatment they have used for when your hair has started to grow back. Thank you in advance.
Hi
I used faith in nature rosemary shampoo and conditioner which was recommended on cancerhaircare.co.uk. I bought this from Holland and barret, my local one didn't stock it do I was able to do a click and collect.
Watermans shampoo and conditioner are also supposed to be good for post chemo. These are more expensive but I think are on sale at the minute.
Take care
Claire x
I was already using anything paraben / SLS free before diagnosis which I much preferred as it stopped it from becoming too dry. When hair started growing, I didn't wash it at all with anything but water for months which kept it in good condition. When it got a bit longer (an inch or so), I decided I didn't want to go back to using shampoo so looked into conditioning washes instead. I now use Curlsmith Conditioning wash as my hair has come back curly - not sure if it is chemo curls or just that my hair is short as I had wavy hair before
The conditioning wash is keeping it in really nice condition, and I use Garnier blends 3-in1 natural hair leave in conditioner too.
It might not make any difference, but I was already sticking to natural products pre diagnosis so used this opportunity to ditch the harsh shampoo too!
Thank you will give it a try. I used johnsons baby when I had no hair but now its growing I need a good shampoo and conditioner to help it grow.
