Hi Huntsmoor here everyone, not sure if this is the right place to say but wouldnt it be lovely for all of us on the breast cancer journey new and old to meet up somewhere just to discuss and chat how we feel how we aew doing face to face. I know everyone is under different hospitals but we all help each other on here and sometimes when i sit up the hospital and see someone like me a year ago not being able to walk properly because they might have had a DIEP operation and reconstruction so tummy is tight i would love to say to them your be fine it gets easier .Yes we have this site and due to covid things have been different but for those who can meet in person once covid lifted and we are all safe i would love to meet people in person for a chat . I know we all have friends and family to support us but someone thats in the same boat as you or has been i feel would be a great help.Im currently under the sutton marsden and live in the Epsom area if anyone would like to meet up.
Regards

Huntsmoor

  • That’s a nice idea! I don’t live near you though I’m in Bucks!    Maybe see who else responds, maybe it’d be easier to meet in London? But I don’t mind driving around x

  • Just about to start chemo journey etc in next few weeks. I'm in Shropshire so bit awkward for Lomdon

  • Hi , a group of us used to meet up pre pandemic, the ones I’ve been to were in Birmingham but I think the group had also met in London previously. It was so lovely to put faces to usernames! And great to just meet face to face. I’d certainly be up for a meet up again. I’m in Hertfordshire but can easily travel to London or many other places. Happy to drive or get on a train especially as I’ve currently got Covid so will hopefully be immune for a while!
, who set up the legendary Awake thread in the Chat section, used to organise them well before I even found the forum. HFxxx

  • And I agree, it’s so nice to actually see people who’ve come through the other end of treatment, or at least some of it.
Thanks for starting the thread xx
