Hello, haven't been on here for ages as treatment finished apart from daily meds end of 2019.
Haf mastectomy right side HER2. After had axillary web syndrome (cording ) for quite a while which eventually resolved.
Have been fit and well last couple of years. About 3 weeks ago notice soreness under arm mastectomy side very slight swelling, no lumps.
Contacted doctor and have antibiotic/steroid cream to use for a week then review
The thing is it feels exxactly like cording though I have good arm movement.I can maybe detect a slight cord.
Anyone had cording return?
Hi Goldfinch77, I'm still in the throes of recovery from surgery and definitely have cording which I'm hoping will resolve over time so am not in the same boat as you but had a feeling I'd read about it occasionally recurring. It gets mentioned here on MacMillan: https://www.macmillan.org.uk/cancer-information-and-support/impacts-of-cancer/cording-after-surgery-for-breast-cancer#:~:text=Cording%20usually%20gets%20better%20slowly,be%20done%20to%20improve%20symptoms.
Good that you've already spoken to your Dr. Hope is gets sorted quickly, xx
