Hi all I had lumpectomy and lymph nodes removed week last Tuesday. All cuts healing really well .full movement in arm with very little pain ...but how long does swelling take to go down .as my arm is more comfortable being up in air than down my side .I back to work monday and cant walk round with arm on my head .thank you xx
Hi Sisters4 good to hear you are healing well. I don't think there's really an average time for swelling to go down as we're all different. I was able to drive and had good movement with no discomfort 2 weeks after surgery, but to be honest, now 6 months on and 3 months after radiotherapy, I still have some swelling though it doesn’t stop me doing anything. Good luck for getting back to work.
