  1. Quick back story, Was diagnosed in sept 21  (after being misdiagnosed since April 21) mastectomy and SNB (1/3 positive) Nov 21 26mm invasive with a total of 92mm (non ivasive and invasive) was due to start chemo in the Jan 22 but my youngest DD got covid and then so did I, so chemo was deferred until Feb 22. Started chemotherapy last week, having 5FEC-T and then on the 4th cycle I will start Herceptin.
  2. Just really wanted some positive vibes tbh as although yes I know my cancer has a positive outcome at the end of all the treatments (consultant said 98% survival rate for the next 10 years), it is a very scary place to be especially when I have children at home and my partner lives elsewhere, it's harder that I am not allowed to bring anybody with me while I have the chemotherapy due to covid restrictions etc. Anyway, I hope everyone is doing ok. Thank you for reading x
  • I know what you mean about chilly scalp. I can't wait for it to grow back. Although picked up my wig last week and it is exactly like my own hair, was good to see my old self in the mirror again.

That's so good about you having your last chemo, best of luck.

That's my 1st Easter Egg gone. I will wonder when they weigh me on Tuesday before my chemo why I will have put on weight. Rofl Lol.

Enjoy your eggs. Take care xxxRainbowHatching chickHeart

  • Yes, going with the flow is all we can do and make the most of the good days. I'm particularly making the most of the unplanned extra one week break. I feel so much more myself Smiley

    Happy Easter Rabbit2

  • Hi Seaside

You seem to be on the same plan as me, EC followed by Docetexal and Pertuzumab, but now they've increased the EC to 4 cycles, but I've had a picc line since after y first one. I guess everyone and every hospital is different.

Hope all goes well with your next cycle.

    Happy Easter Rabbit2

  • Thanks Thumper. It's strange they all have different ways in different hospitals.

All ready for Tuesdsy and see what MRI shows on Tuesday and hopefully continue with the planned Chemo.

Hope you have had a nice Easter Sunday xxxHatching chickHatching chick

  • I've had a lovely Easter weekend, thank you  Seaside. Have you? I managed to see my grandson son and daughter-in-law yesterday. It was so lovely to see them Relaxed️

I'm all set now for my chemo on Tuesday too. I hope you're MRI goes well and you are able to go ahead with the planned chemo Fingers crossedxxx

  • Thanks Thumper. My sister and brother in law came up this afternoon and we sat out in the sun all afternoon and had a nice dinner. Glad you got to see your family too. It does help us to take our mind off things

Best of luck for Tuesday too xxRainbowHeart

  • Yesterday I made a cake by last night half was gone, today its all gone lol I need to bake more I think as I found it relaxing.

Today is a good day, managed to get the grass cut in the back garden albeit my chemo are arm started aching after 5 mins but plowed through it and then my two youngest enjoyed their Easter egg hunt bless them, was nice to hear the excitment in the voices and their giggles while playing in the garden. It's great to have nice weather for a change.

Went to my mums for dinner which was nice, a change of scenery always does good.

Meant to have a pcr tomorrow ready for Thursday but the car battery is flat, did the whole jump starting it but it's no good, it isn't holding charge, so will have to ring them and explain as we can't get a new battery fitted till Wednesday and not sure if it'll be too late to have a pcr done then as it's meant to be 3 days before treatment, so pretty miffed about that tbh, can't get a lift as the people I trust are either working or away.

I hope everybody has had a fabulous Easter weekend xx

  • So envious, Chocolate ! After treatment I always suffer with heartburn but the docatexal seems to have given me indigestion as well  Oh Joy.. Still I can look forward to my eggs in the week..

Only a month until your last treatment, That's fab ! My last treatment is the 27th May, not that I'm counting..

  • Hi Seaside

My treatment was 3 FEC and am now on 3 Docatexal. Along with that I have started injections of Phesgo (Pertuzumab & Trastuzumab) every 3 weeks for 18 cycles. They are in the leg and it was fine. Took about 5 mins.

Glad you're doing ok and enjoying  your chocolate Chocolate barJoyHugging

  • Hi Thumper, Looks like we're on the same plan too although I had FEC first.

I've just started Docatexal and injection. . So far all ok, a bit tired. Normal !  and indigestion  & heartburn..

I had a picc line but now I'm only having a bag I've had it removed.. Got in the way of my Crochet and  that's what's keeping me sane..  ( Although my husband would question me being sane ) JoyJoy
