Random question had sentenial node biopsy they injected blue dye which I know can make your urine blue and I may have a blue boob for awhile.
I appreciate I have had surgery but my parlour on my face is very pale almost yellow tinge. I feel quiet well but wondered if this was to do with the dye?
Hmmmm. Don’t know! Someone else may have an experience of it, I haven’t. I would keep an eye on it though in case it’s surgical jaundice, if you’re not happy with how you’re looking still tomorrow I’d probably call the hospital and get a professional opinion, all the best x
Hi I am not due my surgery till next week but my consultant has warned me he may use blue dye and if so it does affect your skin colour for a few days and can make you look “ quite unwell with an odd pallor “ . But as always any concerns speak to your nurse . How are you feeling after the op ? Xx
Hi petty thief actually feel quiet good today. I am a little sore but surprisingly well. Still look a bit like a ghost. I know they said I may get discolouration on the boob but it's very blue! And yes you can expect to pee blue for awhile. Good luck next week I hope you feel as well as I do after your surgery.
Hi Gander phew that's a relief thank you. It was quiet a shock when looked in the mirror. Ironically I feel really good sadly look like a ghost.
Thanks Anna apparently it's a side affect of the dye !
Yes, I’m pleased others did know about it, that’s the great thing on here, lots of combined experience, there’s always someone with the answer. Hope you’re feeling better soon x
