Hi I have grade 2 invasive ductal cancer, 1cm in size & strongly sensitive to oestrogen & HER2 NEGATIVE, I have been put on Anastrozole but they are making me feel so ill. I have not eaten for days and have so many other problems on them. Am wondering if anyone else is on these & having problems.
HI, sorry to hear you've been having such problems. I'd suggest you talk to your nurse or consultant as perhaps they can recommend a change of medication. Good luck
Thank you for reply, I have spoken to my Oncologist and he has taken me off the Anastrozole.
I'm on Anastrozole. HER2 negative also. I now take mine before I go to bed with a half glass of water as I was feeling nauseous when I took them earlier in the day. This has helped and I just have a bit of an episode each day, but nowhere near as bad. I sometimes feel unwell, but can't describe or explain it! I get hot flushes, but got them anyway before taking Anastrozole, even though my menopause was at 50 and it's 16 years on. I'm keeping with Anastrozole as I can cope with my mild symptoms, but was told that if I had bad side effects, they could change it, so maybe you should speak to your BCN for some advice. I hope you get it sorted.
Hi - I was just wondering if they started you on another drug and how gave you found it. Hope you remain well.
Hi Wajdi yes they did but I had to come off them after a few weeks as they made me so ill.
