Hi, can anyone recommend a moisturiser for scalp please....its actually painful, irritating and really getting me down.....thanks all x

  • Video I watched on chemotherapy recommended tea tree oil. What do others think please?

  • Hi Cazza

My friend gave me some lush scalp balm that I use about once a month. It's called superbalm scalp treatment and it's really expensive but my head always feels so much better after I've used it. I'm 5 weeks post chemo and I've got hair coming back in and a nice fuzz all over - which I think the balm has helped with. I'm going to keep using it with hair.

    Cheers

  • Hi Cazza, My daughter-in-law bought me Jennifer Young products fir cancer patients and never had any scalp problems even although I have  fair sensitive skin - was a redhead before chemo!!  I would be very careful with tea tree oil.  Good luck xx

  • I’d avoid essential oils, my skin has reacted to them very badly on chemo and I don’t normally have sensitive skin. I was bald when I had breakouts so I used occasional hydrocortisone and E45 cream x

  • Hi I bought some very cheap Aqueous cream ..boots ,home bargains etc etc massaged scalp in shower then showered off . Followed by small amount massaged in and left .

One step at a time and ...Breathe !
