Just wanted to ask a question my first infusion was given straight in to my cannula Had my second one yesterday and it was administered with a saline drip far easier to cope with yesterday and today. Has anyone else experienced this difference in administering EC x
Hi D0137 my chemo plan was EC X 6 and they were all given with saline drip ….ie saline flush thru first then a nurse injecting E+C into cannula latterly because of thrombosis in veins I would also have saline drip flush after the EC .
Thank you will make sure my next one is given with a saline drip found it to be far easier to cope with this time round. Different nurses different methods I suppose learning all the time Denise x
