To kadcyla thread …interested in opinion of ladies on kadcyla who deal with bad back and sore hands . I think radiotherapy left it’s mark and I’m in pain with hands and back o know brachial plexopathy can happen with radiotherapy when u have axillary breast mammary chain and especially above collarbone how do you self manage it. It’s prob main reason I backed off letrezole for while as it gets you cranky at times. The itchiness has started but I’ve cream for that ..I’m amused at myself as my next infusion on Monday and see doc and all I do is whine about it and get script for trmadol which isn’t doing job really ..any advice welcome
Hi Lovejellies and welcome to the community. I don't have any experience of Kadcyla so can't help but by responding to your post it will bump you back up to the top of the list and make it more visible again incase there is now someone on here he can help.
Really sorry to hear you are in pain.
Hi again
im on kadcyla, 8 th one next week, I hate it so much, just the fact I’m getting it!
I don’t have back pain but shoulders and left arm bit achy. Can’t say if it’s kadcyla or the horrid letrozole.
my hands and fingers are achy too, find it hard open jars. In one year I feel as if I have went from 59 to 80 !!!
I hate the infusions at this point but know vital I’m up with pain in back took tramadol and still there but a bit better I just had bad week with hands since I took break from letrezole no difference …will have to go back on them .I too feel like aged 30 years at times . I’ve lively children who need help with homework and trying to write is so painful I dread homework. It’s impacting on my life at this point …whingefest big time lol but I’m definetly veering toward the peripheral neuropathy as last night my feet so sore and burned so I’m asking on Monday as next infusion . I actually felt better on previous chemo but it’s built up at this stage ..but loath to take opioids as don’t want to be dopey either ..if I have to tie the oncologist to chair lol I’m getting something to help relieve it . I like painting and can’t do it with any joy anymore sorry whinge whinge hard to be in pain when naturally busy and active …we put up with a lot as triple positive requires a lot of treatment even if very very effective ..catch 22 at times well I hope you feel better soon and don’t put up with excess pain .one more thing I find it makes it harder to not think of cancer and move forward mentally when pain is a constant reminder so thanks for reply hope I haven’t totally bent your ears lol
