What is the best way to manage a leaking seroma. Breast care nurse suggested using a sanitary towel. Its awkward though as scar not healed, in fact leakage has taken some of the surgical glue off and it has opened at end quite badly. It is armpit scar from lymph node removal. My brest is fine.
Thank you
I would make an appointment to see your consultant. I too have had a leaking Sedona since my surgery in September. Ask about a Pico dressing. This draws out the fluid. In my case though, it did not resolve it and I wasn't healing well so I have had two additional operations. My latest op for removal of scar tissue was last week so fingers crossed it works. The care, treatment and support through all of this has been second to none.
