Hi, went for pcr yesterday ready for my 4th chemo on Wednesday. Had result this morning covid positive. To say I am gutted is an understatement. Chemo now postponed for 2 weeks. At the moment I have no symptoms but if I develop symptom can go into hospital for an infusion of anti-virals. Has anyone had this? I have tried to be careful where covid is concerned but live with hubby and 3 teenagers, but we do laterals regularly and not had any positives.
Has your treatment been delayed? Hope you don't have too bad symptoms. I still don't have any symptoms and hope it stays this way. It is so hard to avoid covid when hubby has to go to work and kids to college and school. I have done so well to avoid covid for last 2 yearsx
Hi in my hospital they apparently have a set up if anyone who is having active chemo and 3 months after last session, that if they get covid and have symptoms they can have infusion of anti-virals. Within half an hour of my text message yesterday saying covid positve, a pharmacist from the departnent phoned me to check my symptoms. They had been inforned of my positive covid test As yet I have no symptoms but if any develop this week I am to phone oncology and they will refer me to the department x
