Hi,  Anyone on here suffering with Fuchs?  I just had an eye operation on Wednesday - it was a corneal transplant.  Quite uncomfortable.  It’s a human graft.  I can’t see out of that eye yet.  As if 2021 and cancer is bad enough!!!  Don’t know whether I’m coming or going. I will have to have the other eye done at some point.  Great start to 2022!  Just thought I would ask.  Best wishes everyone. xxx

  • Hi Jgau welcome to the forum. I was wondering if you had meant to post in the breast cancer thread or whether this has just  been an oversight on your part? If it is let me know and I can send you  a link to the eye thread . x

  • Hi jgau, good to hear from you, hope you’re not feeling too rough, when will you know if the eye op is successful? I’ve never heard of Fuchs! I’m going to look it up x

  • Anna12345.  Hello Anna thank you so much - I had never heard of it myself until I got diagnosed.  I was due to get my eyes done before cancer diagnosis.  So yeah it’s a bit shit (sorry).  Can’t see out of left eye yet but the discomfort is slowly improving.  I had DMEK if you want to look it up.  Will need other eye done in a couple of months.  Please update me with how you are doing.  Hugs xxx

  • Hi not an oversight it’s not eye cancer - its something I’ve had to have done after breast cancer x

  • I did look it up, I’m sorry for you that you’ve got this to deal with too, bloody rubbish. I’m ok, lots of aches and pains and some eye issues but I saw the optician and got some stuff that has helped, in the grand scheme of things I’m ok!! I’ll take it. I do long for the day I feel ‘good’ though!! RoflPrayxx

  • Anna12345. Hello Anna Thank you for taking an interest in my eye probs.  Still can’t see and eye is staying shut!  Me too wonder if I shall wake with a spring in my step - not happening yet.  I’m reading a book called “What the fuck just happened”. It’s written by a cancer survivor - one of the things she says is that there is no normal after cancer.  It’s an easy read I have it on kindle with rather large font so I can see it.  I swear the magnesium is helping.  The book is new maybe you will take a look?  Roll on Spring.  I hope your aches n pains ease.  Best wishes,  jan xx
