Hi Had my second chemo for breast cancer 6 days ago and have just found out I have COVID. Does anyone know if this will cause problems with the chemo please.
Hello Steloc. Do you mean whether the covid might delay your chemo or whether it may impact on your health? As your immune system may well be reduced as a result of your chemo you need to let your medical team / chemo hotline know as soon as possible that you have tested positive. They will be able to advise you on what you need to do in respect of your health and also what impact this may have on your future chemo sessions, as these are clinical decisions which need to be made on a case by case basis. Hope you keep well and that the rest of your treatment is not disrupted too much.
