Hi,

I had idc Jan 2020, lumpectomy followed by rads , then letrozole.

recent mri showed swollen node middle inner left. Had ultrasound but they said would just keep an eye on it as missed on mammogram Feb 2021

i have noticed recently dark veins have appeared in the same spot. Left outer no veins visible. Is it something I need to get checked out?

thanks

  • When you say middle inner left do you mean under the arm or above the breast? As for the veins, I'd mention it to your cancer team. It could be abstolutely nothing, but then you need to hear that from the medical professionals, and for your peace of mind. And if it is indeed something, then of course it would need addressing, regardless of whether it is cancer-related or something completely different that has nothing at all to do with cancer.

Hi, middle inner= between both breasts in the cleavage. As I look down at 3-5 o clock. Same place as they did ultrasound. The veins showing are only in the same area.. My original cancer was in right outer lower breast.

  • Thanks for clarifying. Yeah, I'd definitely have that checked, and as I said earlier, I am not necessarily thinking this has anything to do with cancer. It does however have to do with blood vessels so I'd start with your usual team and work back from there if needed, get a referral to another team if necessary and this is a separate issue.
