How are you? I haven’t been here for a while. J x
Hello! Thank you so much for thinking of me, I’m doing ok, I gave finished chemo now and have my mastectomy coming up on 20th. My biggest issue at the moment is that I had Rheumatoid Arthritis before this happened which luckily I had controlled by drugs, when I started chemo they took me off all those drugs as chemo does the same job, now I’m done with chemo the RA has come fighting back and I need to sort out new treatment because it is incredibly painful!! But! Other than that and all things considered I’m fine, I had a nice Christmas, just spent NYE overnight at a zoo with my daughter which was fantastic and finding the joy where I can, I hope things are good with you? X
Anna12345 Hello again. Great to hear from you. I’m ok apart from awful aches and pains, everywhere including coccyx. I walk every day but I’m as stiff as a board when I wake up. I’ve had most of my treatment. Mastectomy with reconstruction, chemo, radiotherapy, axilla (7 out of 14). On Wednesday I’m having a corneal transplant so I might be off line a bit. As if cancer wasn’t enough! I’m glad you enjoyed NYE with your daughter. I had a lovely Christmas with my family. NYE we didn’t do anything I’ve never heard so many fireworks my dog was terrified. Thank you for being one of the first, maybe the first person to respond to me. Good riddance 2021. Stay focused Anna, all the best. Jan xx
Hello Irishgirl16. Thank you for helping. I thought I knew what I was doing doh! We have chatted before. How are you doing? J x
The aches and pains! I know it’s hard, isn’t it, I just keep thinking I’m getting there now, halfway through, chemo done, surgery then hopefully finished! I’m sorry you’ve had other health issues, good luck with the surgery, hopefully you can be over your worst times, looking forward. Glad you had a lovely Christmas! Happy new year!
All good thanks. The Phesgo injections continue and my radiotherapied boob is still swollen and tender, but otherwise all good
Irishgirl16, I didn’t get any swelling from RT but I do have stiffness in the boob and arm. I hope yours settles quickly. Did you have a mastectomy? I start injections next month! Take care, J x
Hi, I had a lumpectomy. I had the choice, but as chemo had cleared the cancer prior to surgery, I went for the least invasive surgical option. The injections are a walk in the park compared to everything else! Good luck x
Irishgirl16 Thank you. Eye surgery on Wednesday a corneal transplant. After that back to cancer thoughts! Good to know the Zol injections will be fine. J x
