I find this mix helpful getting through days where I cannot eat and cannot face anything other than water. Into the mug:
instant coffee powder, just on the tip of the teaspoon
cinnamon, just on the tip of the teaspoon
half a teaspoon of honey
Pour boiling water, mix until the honey melts, top up with cold water to adjust temperature.
The honey gives a bit of energy, and I find the taste pleasant.
There is always the option to just go with honey and lemon juice squeezed fresh from the lemon, but over the past few days even lemon is unacceptable.
Curious now if others here have come up with other things that help get over the really rough patches and keep the body hydrated and not too deprived of energy and nutrients.
This sounds good GreyCats. I found flavoured tonic water wasn't too bad during chemo, and it was Summe so I wanted something cool as an alternative to water
I ate a lot of soup, loads of nutrients and hydrating. It's a habit I haven't stopped, I really enjoy soup for lunch every day.
