Hi My Buddies
I have had a left therapeutic mammaplasty and a right reduction. My nipples have been realigned and I have had my dressings taken off today and OMG my nipples are so sore with rubbing against my bra, does anyone have any tips to help with easing this, I have been told to wear a fitted bra at all times.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
thanks

.If it's any help, I had same trouble with a nipple quite a while after radiotherapy on a realigned nipple after therapeutic mammoplasty, it was peeling badly and sore, and rubbing - I was advised to put some silk material between it and the bra. This improved the situation quite a lot. It sounds trivial but it is irritating isn't it ?
Many thanks I will give this a try, can I ask did you use and creams to soften then nipples after surgery. Thanks x
I used moisturiser but that was really because I had to have radiotherapy. But nipple still got burnt by it. Still moisturising it, which helps a lot. I am someone who tends to leave things alone to heal, unless told not to, but when you have radiotherapy you must moisturise a lot. You could ask your Breast Cancer Nurse to check but I had scabs on the areola where it was stiched back on. Back then it was not a bother. Still not right even now though, but improving.
