I have had to have a pause in chemo after session 5 because of a rash and itching

I am also very tired how much should I be doing.

i am on Herceptin and Pacitaxol

  • Hi

Sorry your having issues with your chemo. Paclitaxel is the chemo , Herceptin is a targeted drug for HER2+ breast cancer (I’m assuming that’s what you have)  and it is the chemo that normally can cause issues. It’s given weekly so it’s a bit kinder, but it can cause allergy issues (like you seem to have) and other side effects. I had this regime , but couldn’t really say I felt tired - but everyone reacts differently, and going every week for the treatment itself can be tiring. Your age may also have an effect on your tiredness. If you’ve already had surgery it may be a cumulative effect?
Just be kind to yourself, if you are tired rest when you can , but also try and do some exercise , even just a walk around the garden or around your local area , everyday, as that can help too.

Try not to compare yourself to anyone else , your breast cancer and treatment is individual to you , as is your recovery.

    Best wishes
