A lady on my ward had issues with her blood sugar due to metformin and fasting etc for surgery. So they temporarily took her off metformin and had her on insulin for a few days. They gave her dextrose at one point too. So whatever happens they’re pretty good at keeping diabetics stable but do talk to your team
