Hi there, anyone on Anastrozole who is not only suffering with severe back pain but also period type pain.

Thanks xx

  • Hi sorry you haven't had a response to your post.  Hope the pain is a bit better today.  I am not taking Anastrozole so can't help I'm afraid but by responding to your post it will bump you back up to the top of the list where someone who is going through the same as you might be on the forum this time and reply to you.

Do talk to your medical team about this incase there is anything they can do to help manage your symptoms.

  • Hi

I'm on Anastrozole and don't have any back or period type pain.  However, I also don't have any of the other nasty problems that a lot of women have with these oestrogen suppressants.  Have you tried changing brands?  I am on Accord and have been fine with Accord and Teva.  I was given another brand once and oh boy! the side effects were dreadful.  They often have different things in the coatings and Accord and Teva have pretty similar coatings when I looked into it.

Worth trying to see if it makes a difference.

    Best wishes, Lesley

    Hi Casput,

I'm on Anastrozole and I don't have any pains at all but I have noticed a lot of weight loss since taking them. I know that my breast care nurse said if this medication doesn't suit there are others you can try. I would have a chat with your nurse.

  • Hello Casput - Yes, I have period type pain and back pain, and I'm on anastrozole. Searching for answers. I sure hope you have found yours. If you get this message, I'm very interested in how you are doing, and what you found out. Thanks much, and best wishes, Debra
