Hi. Month 4 of letrozole Hot flushes aching joints I have now started with dull headache and feeling a bit dizzy. Has anyone else had this. Can you recommend what I should do please
Hi, yes recommend you speak to your consultant or your BCN.
I’ve been on letrozole for only three weeks and the hot flushes feel non-stop, day and night. Feet and ankles are also slightly swollen and big toe on one foot is numb, so weird. I didn’t have many hot flushes during the menopause but what I’m experiencing now is certainly making up for it! Hope this doesn’t last for the next five years!
20 months on and side effects still there but lessened. I think your body adjusts and your mid says what is the alternative so you just put up with it.
Good luck.
Hello, really interested in your experience and relieved (altho obviously not good for you & I am sorry about that). I’m about 2 months into Letrozole and was settling down on. Odd dizzy moments, but last 24 hours quite unsettling. I’ve just done 5th consecutive day of radiotherapy which is not helping my energy or resilience. Your story an others very helpful. Thank you & best wishes
Hi
Hi New Person,
I wake with pains all over now and I take Letrozole in the morning so I am not sure whether the time of day one takes the tablet makes any difference to the level of side effects. I should be interested to hear from others on this too.
I am sorry to hear the side effects have kicked in but everyone is different and yours might settle really quickly.
I still get the sores in the mouth but not all the time anymore. All other side effects appear to be on the increase though and I can add in a headache to that too.

Hi debs
Sorry to hear you you are still having problems on these tablets. You are totally right we have to preserve as these are helping keep the cancer away. If symptoms like you are going through are persistent I would consult BCN or oncologist if you can get an appointment. I'm still waiting on my radiotherapy hopefully my first day won't be to bad.
5 days of radiotherapy every day is very scary but I don't mind.
I'm now going back to work on a phased return so this is now starting to get a little anxious.
Marie
