I had op 24 May, mastectomy and implant in one and therapeutic mammoplasty other. Drains removed yesterday thank God. Have felt very exhausted and a lot of effort to do anything. All is fine, but wondered how people cope with compression bra and the taking off and putting on without help ? Taking me an age.
Hi, well done on getting through the op (and don’t forget you’ve still got anaesthetic drugs in your system, they take up to 3 weeks to totally clear)
Is the bra front or back opening? If back, then try fastening it minus shoulder straps positioned, in front at your waist then spin it round to put the shoulder straps up and properly on? If front opening then just take your time!

Saw BCN yesterday. She's very gentle. Instructed me to wash bra etc and give boobs an airing. Shower on back only. Have a front opening bra which they gave me. She said it was a bit tight and a wash would improve it. It has been comfortable and I've been happy in it. Apparently it was put on inside out after the op but that not a problem. Due for check on the drain holes on Friday to check they are OK. That's useful to know about the drugs. I tend to get frustrated with my inability to do the things I used to do without thought.
Also slight rubbing, which of course you can't feel on implant.
