Had my lumpectomy and SNB yesterday. Still a bit tender and i am not feeling quite myself yet. I try to get 7p as much as 8 can and had a walk in the garden today. How much movement is enough to prevent bloodclots etc? How do I know that i qm moving enough?

  • Hi Capazi, I hope you are feeling ok today. I think you should listen to your body, just a little at a time. A little walk in the garden certainly sounds enough, and you will build your strength up every day.

I have been feeling very tired today but hopefully tomorrow my energy levels will be better.

  • Hi

There are also seated 'exercises' that you can do to prevent blood clots...search DVT exercises on youtube and there's quite a few to choose from.  But do keep up the walking, it will become easier the more regularly you do it.
