Any ideas guys....
I had a mastectomy in the summer of 2018, I am keen to have my other breast removed. Severe I know but I have a family history of breast cancer although it hasn’t been linked to a gene. I hate being one sided....I wear an insert at work but go ‘uniboob’ at the gym and at home.
Last time I spoke to the surgeon a year ago....he wouldn’t even consider it. I am persistent though and just wondered if anyone else had any experiences. I would prefer to be flat....
Any help appreciated!
Hi Galligirl welcome to the forum. Well that's a bit of a dilemna for you and I can imagine how difficult it must feel for you and why you are thinking as you are. However, I'm not sure that any surgeon will consider this as the breast is not diseased in any way though I take on board the bit about family history.
Its a really difficult one and I wish I could offer some form of sensible answer for you but I'm wondering if maybe one of the other lovely folks on here have had experience of this can offer their experiences with you. Sorry not to have been of more help but hopefully someone will be along soon with more information for you. xxxx
