Hi. How are you all?. I had my masectomy 2 weeks ago this tuesday coming. I have a build up of fluid and its sore. Couldnt get in at clinic, advised to massage it. I have an appt on tueaday at clinic to see what treatment i will be getting,so hopedully they will drain fluid.
Hi Bushie welcome to the forum and sorry to hear about whats been happening for you. Did they leave a drain in place after the surgery or not? I know some surgeons do but this doesnt seem to be universal as such so you may not have had one.
It could be that the massage is enough to shift this fluid or as you say it may need drained either way it cant be comfy for you. Is the massage helping at all or not? If ts does become unbearable before the clinic on Tuesday you may need to go through 111 for some advice. xx
Hiya. I had a drain in over night at hospital and then taken out before i left hosptial. I think it is helping a wee bit,the fluid is still there. I have a heated throw and had it on yesterday as i read somewhere sometimes heat helps.
Lisa xx
