I’m have a PICC line put in on Tuesday. Will I be able to wear long sleeves over it? Do they give you something to cover it? I’m worried about catching it .
Hi SNi. How did it go today? For me, it felt strange for the first few days, but when I got used to it I loved it! Hopefully they will have given your some elasticated tubing to go over it. You can also buy prettier PICC line covers. Loads available on the normal online retailers. You'll be able to wear most things no problem.
Thank you. It was fine a little scary at first but it was ok. It is bandaged at the moment but when I start chemo on Thursday they said a new covering will be put on. Relieved it’s done now.
Well done. Try to get some good sleep and good luck for Thursday. Actually, good luck for Sunday-Thursday. Remember to drink lots of water and rest lots. x
