Just had breast cancer confirmed yesterday after finding a lump on Xmas day of all days . I see the Oncologist next as am having treatment before the op , I didn't realise you could do it this way . Its a bit daunting , but hey ho .

Yes, you're right that it can be done this way for certain types of breast cancer. My type for instance (oestrogen positive) doesn't always need chemo and therefore straight in with an op and radiotherapy. However, it might be very good news for you because I have seen posts in the past from other ladies that have mentioned that after their chemo, the surgeons couldn't even find the tumor and just the clip put into the breast is what was showing as left of it!!!
