I used to love hot weather - but although I finished chemo last June & Herceptin/pertuzumab in April this year I find I have no tolerance for heat. I’ve just had to retire from the golf course in extreme distress in the recent hot weather. It’s as if my internal thermostat had packed up and my core temperature goes out of control. Anyone else found our recent weather conditions just intolerable - or is it just my age and general decrepitude!?
Hi Carmol finished chemo in December never really liked heat but could manage it . This week it's laid me flat out twice having to lay down .i don't sit in sun only shade and this week been next to fan most of time .

Thanks Margaret. I wonder if all this messing about with our bodies has altered our tolerances. I see from your profile you are - like me - of mature years! But still, let’s keep on keeping on. Carol x
Hi FaithDe - thank goodness it rained here last night so things are a bit cooler now. According to the forecast the end of this heatwave’s in sight. Good luck with the chemo - the side effects are bad enough without having to battle with the weather as well. Carol x
