Hi all
I am a new member. I had a lumpectomy last September followed by a course of fec t and then a course of radiotherapy. I am now taking letrozole daily. I suffer from really bad prickly heat every time I get hot, ie, during the countless hot flushes, in the sun, in the bath or shower. The only way I stop it is to stand in front of a fan. Has any one else had this and does it ever go away? I would like to think that one day I will be able to enjoy the sun again.
I didn't have chemo but suffered from prickly heat from my teens to my forties with only odd flares ups now. My daughter also suffered from it from a baby. I used Piriton was she was young but she now takes a stronger anti histimine.
So, I presume no one else has had prickly heat as an after effect of chemo? As I have never suffered skin problems in my life before, I know this is from my treatment and just wonder if it is permanent. On a us forum, many women had the same complaint so I am surprised that no one else here has had it.
Hi there. I have an incredible itch which feels the same as prickly heat when the weather is hot but I’ve put it down to the Letrozole I’m taking...antihistamine helps though.
