When is radiotherapy after chemo

Hi all, just wondering thru your own experiences how long did you wait for radiotherapy after your chemo sessions had finished. I’m due to start 6/8 cycles so should finish on 16/7 and wonder when I start the next lot of treatment?

Hi, if it’s any help I finished chemo 9th October last year and started rads on the 19th November so 5-6 weeks. I don’t know what the guidelines are but I’m sure someone will know.

Hi Kimbo56 the gap for me from the final dose of chemo (on a 3 week cycle) and the start of radiotherapy sessions was 6 weeks. I think for some people it is sooner though, and may vary slightly between hospital trusts. Best of luck with your treatment. x
