My hair has grown back after chemo. I waited the recommended 6 months and then dyed it. My hair was grey before and it grew back grey. I used a shop box colour - the same blonde shade I used to use. However ..... it came out ginger
Anyone else dyed their new hair and had colour problem?
Anyone else done it and been successful
Thank, Louise
Hi Louise,
I finished chemo a year ago. I didn’t wait quite as long as you to have mine coloured. I’ve had mine coloured several times at the hairdressers and I haven’t had a problem. It rang a bell though because my sister has blonde hair (she hasn’t had cancer) and she ended up with ginger hair from a blonde home dying kit. We’ve both been using Josh Wood colour during the lockdown and the colours have come out as expected. Could be worth a try? I don’t know if they’re still running their online consultations. They might be able to advise you.
Best wishes,
Sarah
