After a lumpectomy at the end of January it was discovered that I had occult DCIS at all margins and now require a second surgery. Because my breasts are small another lumpectomy would leave a big hole and so rather than mastectomy I am now looking into lumpectomy with Mini Flap reconstruction taking the tissue from my tummy to fill the resulting hole. I am hoping to find good surgeons (breast and plastic) with this experience and fingers crossed I would be a suitable candidate for this.
Has anyone undergone this surgery please?
