So Monday was first round of FEC chemo, was very nervous but hospital were great separate centre from main hospital and lots of safety procedures in place. Took about an hour, and I took some iced water to drink and boiled sweets to suck.
Got home felt like I had a bit of a hangover, Achy legs and flushed face bit of a headache but drinking loads of water. Later on though got a few chest pains nothing major and a pounding heart on and off. First night bit restless bit more pounding and couple of twinges in ribs, completely lost my sense of taste though! Mind you chlorehexidine mouthwash not helping!
Rang hospital in morning to see about the pounding heart and chest pain doc reckons it steroids I'm on 3x a day and acid reflux so I'm taking lansoprazole now for reflux. To dial 999 if it comes back. Also got a flushed face very red and blotchy but once again steroids.
Scalp feel a bit sore aswell today (day 3) and on my last day of steroids and most of my antisickness today but start on the filgrastim injections for white blood cells tonight so we'll see how it goes.
Cracking on with it day by day, quite tired, not sure how things will go over next few days but we'll see. Just wanna crack on and look forward to getting back to normal when it's all over!
Just thought I'd share incase anyone is out there a nervous like I was! Thanks x
