I had lumpectomy with combined radiotherapy - if I am honest I had no pain at the lumpectomy site, however, I did have a strange pain/stinging feeling where the lymph node was taken from - this was a strange type of pain to the point that it was a sore type of pain - I'd get to the point where I thought I would have to do something and then it would ease off.
It would also depend on where your operation area is too, there are a lot of nerves, muscles etc that require a lot of healing. Keep an eye on it, look out for any swelling or if the area should become hot or red or both than I would suggest you telephone your BC Nurses.

Thank you, I will keep an eye on it there’s not much swelling but some lovely bruises, I do bruise easily. Yes it’s a sore pain that happens and goes away. Still waiting to hear results and what treatment I may need to have.
