I was due to go for double mastectomy this week but after pre operation tests I found I tested positive for covid. Having a very, very bad day today. Just wanted to say it in some form.

Hi Ange so sorry to hear that. Were you feeling unwell or was it totally out of the blue?

Have they said when you are likely to be able to reschedule to?

Covid was out of the blue. I have no symptoms at all but still have to wait for 14 days incase. I have tried to contact them to pin down a new date but no reply as yet. I’ve just had a rotten day and feeling sorry for myself. Thank you for replying

wow that is scary, you have a right to be sorry for yourself , this flipping disease needs a good kicking lol

I hope they don't keep you waiting to long but I guess you have to do 14 isolation first?

    Hi Angie

My thoughts are with you. I pray you recover soon and we all get back to some normality so you can undergo surgery.

Hang in there and fight the virus as best as you can.

    Take care

  • I have sympathy (from another group) as I have recently had covid it is believed. See 'cancer and coronavirus part 2' which might help, any questions I can help with, please ask. Good luck with the rescheduled operation.

Wow what a shock, hope you feel better soon,it's all so overwhelming. I'm having my pre op on Monday scheduled for a smx on Wednesday.

Do you have to completely isolate away from people in your house? My husband is sheilding because of a lung condition so I have only been 3 times in local Tesco over the last 4 weeks and although they are doing as much as possible to keep us safe I know there is a chance I could have it. Even from groceries being delivered.

I really hope you start to feel a little better and when you do have your op I wish you a speedy recovery.

What a shock that must gave been,   - as if a cancer diagnosis isn't bad enough. No wonder you're feeling down!

I hope the rest of your quarantine passes quickly and uneventfully, and that your surgery can be scheduled soon.
