Hi everyone, it’s been some time since I posted as the whole chemotherapy treatment made me so ill, I have now had 2 treatments of Herceptin! On the second one I had an allergic reaction and was given antihistamine but this made me even worse. The rash is so bad treatment has had to be stopped, I had steroids for a week and was told to use Aveeno cream but nothing has worked. I had a biopsy taken and the result was it was from the drugs. I have been told by the Oncologist that if it doesn’t improve in two weeks I will have to be referred to a dermatologist but it would only be a telephone consultation due to Coronavirus. This is making me really ill and it’s now 5 weeks since the last treatment, the rash is burning so much but the hospital have phoned me to go ahead with surgery, I was due to have a lumpectomy but now advised mastectomy because they may not have staff for radiotherapy. Has anyone else experienced these problems as I would be grateful for advice.
