Hi everyone
I have had 4 rounds of DC with herceptin and perjeta.I then had surgery. The lump had shrunk to less than 3mm withclear margins and no lymph node involvement..Pathology showed a few cancer cells in centre of tumour so no complete response. Myoncologist has decided to give me 4 rounds of FEC . In this current climate I have more or less decided not to accept this but just carry on with radiotherapy and herceptin
Has anybody else had to make this decision?
Many thanks
Hi,
I had 4 rounds of chemo docetaxel herceptin and pertuzumab my tumour had reduced from 28mm to 20mm I also had lymph node involvement had x2 operations 14 lymph nodes removed only 1 positive. Unfortunately no clear margins so for masectomy next week. Original plan was for another 2 chemo after surgery. I still want chemo after to mop up the cells as the say but will have to wait to speak to oncologist post-op. You had a good response to chemo but sorry you had to be hospitalised. It’s very difficult decisions and terrifying. I’m 47 with 2 kids 11 and 7 so what everything I can possibly get to kill this cancer. It’s a decision only you can make maybe speak to oncologist again?
Take care
