Looking for advice on the best swimming prosthesis. I bought the Aqua Wave Swim Breast Form and when it arrived it looked bigger than my real breast so I was uneven, I returned it for the size below which is too small and funnily shaped compared to my real breast. I kept it but I never feel comfortable in my sports bra or costume as its so uneven to me. Any suggestions on a better fuller breast form suitable for swimming and gym please.

  • I don't know if they make the sports/ swim ones in different shapes like the'normal ones'. Your breast nurse should have catalogues she could suggest you look at online.  I use a swim knitted knocker. You say your size (eg 40C and they make it,  including extra stuffing so you can add or subtract the  amount. X

Try nicola  Jane they make soft prosthesis for swimming and are sized the same as the silicone prosthesis

  • HI Minipixie,

have you tried a knitted knocker? They make them for swimming as well as day use. You can order it in the size you need but can add/remove filling to the size you need. I’m not sure they’re sending them out while everything is in lock down tho.

I’ve ordered one but not used it yet. Hope it helps xx

Hi I was told the everyday one could do the occasional swim. However it needed to be trapped in a pocket or it floats off.

For regular swims you get a different one that's not affected by chlorine.

Knitted knocked would be very soggy surely.

    Happy days.

Choice is ,soft knocker, floating knocker, or soggy knocker

The sun may have got to me today.

  • You forgot aqua knockers (the name for the  swim KK's)

Unfortunately they have suspended making them until things are back to 'normal' again. I love the idea of the normal prosthesis floating in the pool!

Believe it or not  I use a shower scrunchie as a prosthesis for swimming. It looks just fine.

    Hi Londonmum

I must admit the image made me laugh when I went for mine. I was also told that they do not stand up well to being chucked around the bar on a night out. Why I should be told that I have no idea!!!! Apparently it's not considered "normal wear and tear". I may have to take this to the knocked ombudsmen in the future. My last night out ,the first with my new knocked, was cut short by daughter going into Labour. Childbirth not Corbens lot.

Now, sleep time. I'm currently on holiday in my campervan. It's parked on our driveway but it makes a change. And as we are on holiday, more wines allowed.

Lol so funny thinking about floating boobs and its really funny that you were advised not to throw around a bar ... do you give off that vibe or has your nurse just seen it all lol.

This definitely made me laugh. You ladies are just awesome!

    Thank you
