I had a mastectomy last week and got the results back today the nodes were clear i see the oncologist next to see what will be the next course of treatment ?
Hi
Warm welcome to the club no one wants to join :-/
I'm assuming because of this coronavirus you had surgery first to delay your chemo sessions for a few more weeks to see how this all pans out ? Hearing yours was TN must have been a bit unnerving but great your nodes are clear which takes the urgency off it all.
For those who with BC who usually have surgery prior to chemo; it is commonly at least 6 weeks afterwards to get fully healed and eliminate any open infection sites while your white cell count will be low - Hopefully you will get further info about chemo from your oncologist appt.
Some ladies have had chemo delayed but as there are no follow up treatments apart from radiotherapy for TN I would like to think that you will get the OK for chemo but they may want to hang it out a while to see how bad this corona sh*tstorm is going to progress.
Have you been given a date to see the Onco as yet ?
Take care, G n' J
